Hi,
This is to let you know that during the move to temporary hosting and back again your account and edits were briefly lost and were manually restored to the database. If you notice that anything's still missing, please let me know so that I can fix up the restore. Also, as he wrote in c.l.c, FlashGordon seems to have a handle on preventing future downtime, and I can now more quickly switch to a backup host. We plan on making this more communally maintainable - let us know if you'd like more details or to contribute to a solution. --Netocrat 08:03, 29 June 2006 (BST)
- Sorry for slow answer, been away from the net for some days. Thanks for fixing my account and edits. I don't know about anything that is missing. Good job keeping the wiki available!
- If there is anything I can help with in maintaining the wiki, please give me a message. I don't have a fixed IP-address, and my uptime is not too good, so I would probably not be able to offer a backup host. Ahy1 12:36, 4 July 2006 (BST)
- Well, donation of a new quiet small machine and/or air conditioning would be good ;-)
- Seriously, if you know of a company that supports communal management of DNS that would help. Then more than just Netocrat or myself could take recovery action.

- No, I don't know about any such companies. Ahy1 06:38, 5 July 2006 (BST)
Just saying hi
I've noticed you as the other regular anti-spam reverter, and it seems like you've been at it much longer than I have. I thought I'd just drop a note of greeting. I'm working my way through K&R, and intend to submit my solutions to any exercises that don't have solutions already posted. It'd be great to get some review of them, and any of the other code on the wiki. In any case, thanks for your reverts. JesseW 19:54, 9 July 2007 (BST)
- Hi. I haven't had time lately to do real contributions to this wiki, but reverting spam doesn't consume much time. I hope to be able to do some real work here sometime.
- As far as I can see, you are the only one who currently do real editing, not only reverting. I will try to find time to review your edits, but I am probably not the right person for that, as I haven't touched K&R in at least 10 years. I wish someone more knowledgeable than me would review all the code on this wiki.
- Anyway, thanks for the spam-reverting and your other contributions. Ahy1 00:03, 11 July 2007 (BST)
